I primarily focus on wade fishing with lures so whether you're a seasoned angler or a novice, my goal is to teach you that wading with artificials is an immersive experience and also a very sustainable and viable way to fish. I recommend that you bring your own gear but I can and will provide all rods, reels, and lures. I just ask you bring an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn. With a commitment to sustainable fishing practices, including a strict catch and release for Speckled Trout, I am very dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of Rockport's waters for future generations. I have no problem with you keeping a few for dinner but do ask that you keep what you need and release the rest.

Born and raised right here in Rockport, I grew up on the water and the docks of Fulton Harbor. I remember waking up at 4am at seven years old waiting for my dad to go shrimping just so I could fish when he was done for the day. I didn't even have a fishing rod but instead coke can, 50lb mono, a drag washer and whatever bait I could find laying around on the deck. This led to a lifetime addiction and fished whenever and wherever I could. Growing up I would watch old fishing shows like Bill Dance, Roland Martin, and Blaire Wiggins and fell in love with the thought of tricking fish with artificial lures, so I dedicated every minute of free time I could wading the banks of Rockport and fishing lighted piers all over town. My dad eventually started letting take his boat out on my own and from there on I ran all over the bays with my brothers and no fish was safe. Somewhere along the lines I specifically got interested in the Speckled Trout, especially the upper-class fish. After a nearly a decade of playing poker professionally in the Hill Country where I was also chasing bass wherever I could I decided to jump in the guiding venture and that's where I stand today!

Generally trips will last about 8 hours give or take an hour but will also accommodate your personal time frames. I will get with you via text/phone call for time and place of departure a day or two before scheduled trip depending on weather conditions. There is a 15% that's non-refundable deposit to secure your spot if you book through the website. You can also contact me personally as well. We will primarily be wading for Speckled Trout and Redfish. I look forward to seeing you on my boat soon!
